Preparation

Use the Podcasting desk and ask Woodworker or Uk before recording, since they own and/or contributed a lot of the podcasting equipment and they have gathered quite some experience with the “Stationsfunk” podcast.

Check your levels using headphones! Make sure every audio source you intend to use comes in with similar levels. Use the compressor to get speakover functionality etc.

Software

Use Bitwig Studio or Audacity to record audio.

Make sure, the audio levels are okay throughout your signal path. Having distortion in the analog chain can't really be fixed afterwards.

Don't forget to adjust your samplerate and buffer size accordingly. Usually 44.1 KHz is nice, but the hardware nicely supports 96 KHz, as well.
